Presley's 1st Christmas!
Christmas was a blurrrr.....but a great one. We were able to see all our family & let them be apart of Presley's 1st Christmas which was really special. Presley did really well. I think she was overwhelmed by all the attention and gifts. The one thing that caught Wes and I off guard was the sound of wrapping paper tearing scared her. She would cry at the sound of it. It was a little funny. We will have to work on this before her 1st Birthday.

Merry Christmas~

Yay for Christmas!

This was the coolest and most festive house we saw. The owner even stands outside and hands out candycanes. :)

Brent & Jenny: Our Friends
Brent & Jenny
Wes and I had to say goodbye to two of our closest friends and neighbors over the weekend. Our friend Brent works for CAT and was promoted/transferred to a location in Mississippi. So him and his wife Jenny moved on Saturday. I never thought it would be so hard to say goodbye. Wes and I were pretty bummed on Sunday. They were our black ball, burger cooking, coffee drinking, story telling, good hearted buddies. Having them just a few doors down was answered prayer.

We went to the parade with our friends Dave, Lauren & Caroline Raymer
All Smiles at the parade

Last Saturday we had our annual Christmas Pancake Breakfast at the fire house followed by the Apex Christmas Parade that evening. Wes, Presley and I had a blast. Uncle Stephen was able to hang out with us and visit/play with Presley. Our friends Dave, Lauren and their little girl Caroline met us there. It was a great morning. I love these kinds of events. It makes are now large town seem small again. We came back that evening for the annual Christmas parade! We bundled Presley up from head to toe. She was an absolute cutie. Her nose was pink all night....just like Rudolfs! She absolutely loved the parade!! She was mesmerized by all the lights and music. What a great way to kick off the month of December and CHRISTMAS!!!
I have been a little behind in updating our blog. I'm hoping to catch up this weekend. Stay tuned!
