Meet "The Clampets"

Arriving in Ohio 2 hours later than planned. We had so much stuff that we looked as if we were moving in.

Presley was adorable and a trooper. She hung in there for the 10 1/2 hour trip.

After Dinner.....Presley was sleepy.

Ohio Adventure

I don't even know where to begin. We are essentially "The Clampets". Our first trip with just the family has definitley been a memorable one. So far we have left the laptop/briefcase on the side of the road in front of Wes's office (my fault) and didn't realize it until about 3 hours into our trip. Then the search began to locate it because it wasn't by the side of the road when Wes's dad went by. Fortunately, someone who works in the offices below Wes's office picked up the laptop. We didn't figure this out until about 10 phone calls to different people Wes works in search for the briefcase. So 97 dollars later the laptop has finally made it to Ohio and is resting in my lap! YAY.

Same day (Sunday), once we settled in the hotel Wes goes to pick-up dinner and leaves his wallet on the counter at the restaurant. Luckily, when he went back to pick-up our orders they had it for him behind the counter.

Then on Monday, Presley cuts teeth and is very unhappy. I think she cried for 2 1/2 hours straight. I'm sure everyone heard her in the hotel. It broke my heart. However, her teeth look adorable. I rounded out my Monday with getting lost. Somehow I managed to get turned around in Columbus and before you know it I am heading toward Cleveland in the pouring rain. Finally, after an hour I was able to make my way back to the hotel. Not knowing where you are is a scary feeling.

We checked out of the hotel on Thursday and headed toward THE Ohio State University and had lunch. We ate at Pot Bellys! Very good. However, since we were on a roll with our Ohio adventure we were not surprised at all to recieve a ticket for "No Stopping". There was a "no parking" sign where we parked but it was only for specific hours which we did not fall under. However, underneath that sign was a "No Stopping" sign. What in the world does that mean and why would you put that underneath a No Parking sign. We were in the clear to park there according to the "No Parking" sign hours but I guess "No Stopping" means "No Parking" at all. There is a picture below of the sign. Confusing.

Thursday evening we ended up at Wes's Uncle Chip & Aunt Debbie's house. We had a great time and enjoyed some wonderful Graeter's Ice Cream. Yum!!!
Thanks to both Aunt Michele and Uncle Bob and Aunt Debbie and Uncle Chip for all your hospitality. Presley enjoyed seeing her extended family.
Our trip has been nothing short of an adventure. :) It definitley gives us something to laugh about.

Wesley's Birthday

We celebrated Wes's Birthday yesterday!! Miss Presley started out the day with giving daddy her gift (which you can see in the pictures above). Wes and I also spent the morning golfing while my mom watched Presley. It was extremely hot golfing.....our car read 102 degrees when we were done. We had a blast and I even had a birdie!! From there Wes and I went and had lunch at Ole Time BBQ in Cary which I now highly recommend. We rounded out Wes's Birthday by celebrating with the family! All in all it was a great day!

Presley Nicole at 4 months!

I finally decided to create a blog site for my daughter Presley. This is an easy way to update everyone on how fast she is growing and changing. Sometimes I don't think I am able to keep up with how much she has changed. :)

Presley is now 4 months old. She laughs and smiles all the time. She's a very happy baby. To give you an update of the past 4 months she is rolling all over the place. She started rolling over at about 10 1/2 weeks and once she mastered rolling over it was all she wanted to do. She has been sleeping through the night since about 8 weeks and has established both her morning nap and early afternoon nap. Her morning nap was established first around 2 1/2 months and she just recently (within the week) started having more of a set early afternoon nap. Her late afternoon nap is still variable and only lasts about a hour.

We started her on some solid foods last week. She loved her carrots. This is a new adventure. She is too funny to watch her try to eat. It is amazing watching a baby try/learn something new. I will have to post some pictures soon.

Our summer has been pretty busy and will stay that way through the second weekend in Sept. We just recently return from a weeks vacation at Emerald Isle. Presley wasn't 100% sure about the beach. I think the noise of the waves scared her. Hopefully next year she'll LOVE IT. We also too a car trip to Florida in early July to celebrate my Great Grandpa's (Presley's Great Great Grandpa's) 100th Birthday. It was a great trip and Grandpa was doing well!
I am looking forward to keeping everyone updated on Presley's blogspot.
Enjoy the summer!
